In the heart of the Guadalupe Valley, where the sun blends with the earth and the wind caresses the vineyards like a heavenly whisper, rises Adobe Guadalupe Winery, which not only produces exceptional wines but also tells an inspiring story of elegance, vision, and feminine power. It is a sanctuary of flavor and beauty that bears the unmistakable stamp of its founder, Mrs. Tru Miller: the first female winemaker in the Guadalupe Valley.
A woman with vision, writing her own history in the Valley
Behind this unique winery is a woman whose presence never goes unnoticed. Her elegance is natural, her gaze steady, and her passion inexhaustible. She not only broke new ground by forging a path in an industry historically dominated by men, but she did so with class, spirituality, and a vision deeply connected to the land and the soul.
Her story doesn't begin with grapes, but with purpose. It was her sensitivity, her strength, and her appreciation for beauty that led her to found, along with her husband, Mr. Donald Miller, a winery where each wine tells a story, and each label, a devotion.
A vineyard that makes you fall in love
Walking through its vineyard is like stepping into a living painting. The vine rows extend like green brushstrokes across a canvas of red earth and blue sky. The breeze carries aromas of rosemary and the promise of grape harvest. It is one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Guadalupe Valley, not only for its natural setting, but also for the care and aesthetics with which it has been designed.
Everything about this place invites contemplation, pause, and the opportunity to experience wine not just as a beverage, but as an experience.
Wines with history, labels with soul
Each bottle is an artistic expression that carries on its label a representation of the different archangels: Uriel , Michael , Kerubiel , Seraphiel , Gabriel and Raphael , each one represents not only a celestial figure, but an energy, a personality, an emotion.
These labels weren't chosen at random. They're part of a tribute to the winery's profound concept: "wine as a sacred act," as a message, as a tribute. The bottles, carefully curated down to the last detail, are as much collector's items as they are vehicles of pleasure.
The experience that transforms
The winery offers more than tastings: it offers a moment of contemplation and divine appreciation. Here you can taste under the shelter of nature and the tranquility of the countryside. You can also opt for a private tasting in the cellar, where the experience becomes even more immersive and sensorial. Or simply watch the sunset while holding a glass and enjoying the best tapas in the Valley.
Each visit is an invitation to connect with the senses, with the earth, and with something greater: that inner force that drives us to create, to transform, to break the mold... just as its founder did.
More than just wines
In addition to spectacular wines that whisper the secrets of the land where they were born, Adobe Guadalupe also offers other delicacies, such as the Lucifer mezcal, a Oaxacan mezcal double-distilled in a copper still. But Mrs. Tru's entrepreneurial spirit doesn't stop there, also creating a tequila made in Jalisco (due to DO issues), but with a more delicate nature, "with less alcohol and more flavor." It's dedicated to women and named Tía Tula. It's worth noting that it ages for 30 days in the winery's French oak barrels, where the Rafael wine is aged.
And continuing with that profile of drive, creativity, and sophistication that describe its founder, they also created high-quality extra virgin olive oil, produced from the fruit of the olive trees planted within the property's perimeter, organically grown and cold-pressed.
The legacy of a pioneer
To speak of Adobe Guadalupe is to speak of a woman who not only made history in the Guadalupe Valley, but is still making it. Her legacy is not only in the hectares cultivated or the bottles sold, but in every woman who visits and is inspired; in every glass she toasts to dreams that seem impossible... until someone makes them a reality.
